Sit Down with Love You Foods (Flagstaff, Arizona)

October 06, 2017

In our latest sit down, we spoke with Kara & Ross Taylor, Co-founders of Love You Foods, to talk about Drop An FBomb and to learn more about the people behind the product!

Kara and Ross both have a passion for living and promoting healthy lifestyles, and wanted to share what they learned about travel-friendly methods of maintaining nutrition on-the-go. They made it their mission to share the knowledge they gained throughout their travels and experiences. As a result, Drop An FBomb was created!

In the meantime, read our sit down with Kara & Ross below!

What drives you crazy about the nature of your business, or the food industry in general?

If there is anything that has been a particular challenge beyond the ones any new business faces, it would be supply issues. Sourcing and maintaining the right amount of inventory of quality ingredients and packaging has definitely kept us on our toes.

What is the most unique way you have heard FBomb being used?

Hmmm. We have such a wide range…long distance runners that use our nut butters during races…parents whose toddlers ask for FBombs for snacks…commercial truck drivers working on eating well on the road…people following ketogenic diets for all kinds of reasons…and then all the people who tell us they had to skip lunch so they “dropped an FBomb at work today”. The social media posts make us laugh!

What is the inspiration for your products and/or business?

We started the business to make something we wanted for ourselves. Ross has eaten low-carb for many years and has found that it works really well for him. He was doing a lot of traveling for work, and was trying to take high-quality oils with him…but that just isn’t very travel-friendly! We realized that other people might want a better way to do that as well, so we thought we would give it a try as a business. As it happens, high-fat, ketogenic eating is making a comeback (for good reason!)…we are happy that we’re here to help!

How did you come up with the name?

It was a joint effort! While we were in the process of wondering what to call it, “FBomb” came to me (Kara) out of nowhere in the middle of the night. I reported it to Ross the next morning…as a joke…but he grabbed it and ran with it! It took me a few days, but I came around to it. It’s a great conversation starter…and it makes people laugh!
